Turkmenistan Airlines (T5) has announced that starting, Saturday the 26^th of October 2019, flights from Ashgabat (ASB) to Frankfurt (FRA) v.v. will be resumed. Connecting flights are offered to Amritsar, Bangkok, Beijing and Delhi.

The Turkmenistan Airlines fleet consists of only modern Boeing (717,737,757 and 777) aircrafts. All international flights are operated in a two-class configuration: Business and Economy Class. The weekly return flight to / from Frankfurt will be operated by a modern Boeing 737-800. Turkmenistan Airlines is the only airline offering non-stop flights between Germany and Turkmenistan.

Turkmenistan Airlines is planning soon to add new routes to South East Asia and to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. 

Officials from Turkmenistan Airlines have started the negotiations to start new routes to South East Asia namely Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam, Tokyo in Japan and the resumption of flights to Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. All flights will be operated by the modern Boeing 777-200 LR aircraft in a two-class configuration; Economy and Business Class.

Apart from the new destinations in Asia Turkmenistan Airlines is planning to launch a new route to Jeddah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Travellers from Asia, Europe, Turkey and the CIS countries can then fly smoothly via Turkmenistan Airlines Hub, Ashgabat International Airport, to Jeddah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Turkmenistan is geographically well located as a connecting point between Asia, CIS countries, the Middle East, Russia and Europe.

Turkmenistan Airlines will add a new Boeing 777-200LR to it's fleet in order to further expand it's longhaul flights. 

19 June 2019 - Boeing [NYSE: BA] and Turkmenistan Airlines, the national carrier of Turkmenistan, today announced the airline's plan to extend its long-haul operations by adding a fourth 777-200LR (Long Range) airplane to its fleet.

The commitment, valued at $346.9 million at list price, will be reflected on Boeing's Orders and Deliveries website once it is finalized.

The Boeing 777-200LR is the longest range commercial airplane in the world, capable of connecting virtually any two cities in the world nonstop. It has a maximum range of 15,843 kilometers (8,555 nmi) and carries more passengers and revenue cargo farther than any other jetliner. The 777-200LR is equipped with the powerful GE90-110B1L commercial jet engine, and can seat up to 317 passengers in two-class configuration.

"The 777 is the world's most successful twin-engine, long-haul airplane and the 777-200LR is the right airplane to help Turkmenistan Airlines grow its international operations in Europe, Asia and beyond," said Ihssane Mounir, senior vice president of commercial sales and marketing for The Boeing Company. The new 777-200LR will be the 32nd airplane purchased by Turkmenistan Airlines from Boeing. Turkmenistan's flag carrier, based in Ashgabat, operates 737, 757 and 777 aircraft models. The airline transports about 3,000 passengers daily in the country and nearly two million passengers annually on its international and domestic routes.
