Turkmenistan Airlines History

Turkmenistan Airlines is the national carrier of Turkmenistan. Turkmenistan Airlines offers non-stop connections from Europe to Turkmenistan. All international flights use the new International Airport in Ashgabat.

Turkmenistan Airlines transports about 3000 passengers daily in the country and near 2 million passengers are transported annually on the international and domestic routes together.

The Turkmenistan Airlines fleet consists of only modern Western aircrafts (such as Boeing 717,737,757,777, Challenger and Hawker).

All international flights are operated in a two class configuration; Business and Economy Class. Turkmenistan Airlines has established a training school for aviation personnel including technicians and mechanics, who service the engines and the bodies of the airplanes as well as radio-electronic navigation equipment, fuel and lubricant experts, electricians and stewards.

They are annually retrained on new types of aircraft, and also undergo extension courses. The experts also undergo , and continue special training at aviation centres in Great Britain, the United States of America and France.
